Key moments of our history
1992
A social work student and a few volunteers set up Sercan. The organization offers exchange and support services dedicated to people with cancer and those around them.
2002
The structure adapts because death is also part of the illness. Thus, the Sercan Palliative Care House in Saint-Eustache was created.
2004
A major fundraising campaign, chaired by Mr. Fernand Biard, finances the construction of the Sercan house. It was in the fall of 2005 that the Sercan palliative care home received its first patient.
2011
A beautiful expansion project is coming to fruition. The number of beds available increased from 4 to 7 thanks to the Kilimanjaro challenge in January 2012. Since then, Maison Sercan has been qualified as an invaluable service for the people of our community in end-of-life support.
2023
A second expansion project is inaugurated. The number of rooms increases from 7 to 12. Maison Sercan continues to serve the community in a modern, spacious space which will ensure its sustainability.
